Most of hundreds of stories we've seen on Disney channel or the tales we've read in books at school are taken from only one place: The fairy tales collection by Brothers Grimm. They are tales of princesses, animals, creatures, witches, and everything that is included in children literature.
So, who are Brothers Grimm, and from where they took these tales?
Jacob and Wilhelm Grimm are two academics, born in Germany, who decided to collect folk tales, which are over 200. These tales are traditional stories from the Germanic folklore, which were transmitted from one generation to another.
Now, we'll list some of the most popular folk tales collected by Brothers Grimm:
"Cinderella" / “Hansel and Gretel" / “Little Red Riding Hood” / “Snow White” / "Sleeping Beauty” / “Tom Thumb” / “Rapunzel” & “The Golden Goose."
Most of these stories were turned into movies, animated series, and even theatrical plays. Children from around the world were so captivated by these tales, they've turned them into icons where they would dress in these characters costumes in Halloween parties and other festivals across the world.
